Understanding verification results

Reports on your user’s verifications

Written by Liv Kohlen

You can see a user's real-time progress through a verification from the results page.

You can see which steps have been completed and, once the verification is finished, which may need your review.

Status

On the top right you will see an explanation of the status the verification is in. You may be asked to review the results, or see that the verification is locked out.

User details panel

At the top is a panel showing the person being verified. This will include any personal details on them and, if available, a video selfie.

Identity verification section

If someone has used a photo ID, you will see a copy of the scan with the validations performed next to it. You will also see the video selfie, so you can verify that the face on the document matches the user.

For digital ID you will just see the validations. If you selected to enforce video selfie when creating the flow that will appear here.

When someone uses a referee as a proof of identity, the referee's profile will be shown in the user's identity verification section. You will see the steps the referee needs to complete. When the referee has completed their verification the details will all appear here.

Address verification section

The address section will always contain a credit bureau check: this is an automatic and secure way to verify someone's address without them uploading documents. This check does not affect their credit score.

If there is a match found for someone this check will pass. You will be able to see the details matched on the address results panel.

If this check fails, the result will still appear in this section and will be labelled "No match". This does not mean that the person does not live here, just that there were no matching records on publicly available information sources.

If you have allowed supporting documents in your verification flow, the person you're verifying can use these as an alternative way to prove their address. Any uploaded documents and their validations will appear at the top of the address section.

Enrichments

If your verification flow include background checks, they will appear at the end of the report. Green dials mean that those checks have passed, and red means that the check has failed.

Where available you can click to expand the enrichment checks to see more details.
