Vouchsafe can greatly increase the effectiveness of identity verification with a video selfie.
Also known as a biometric liveness check, video selfies make sure that the user:
is a real person
is not a known fraudster
is the genuine holder of any photo ID they're claiming
Under the hood, Vouchsafe will calculate a separate confidence score for all three of these checks.
If all three score the right side of a preset threshold value, the check will be considered to have passed.
Vouchsafe does not normally expose the raw confidence values that power the video selfie.
