You can allow a user to retake a check by pressing the Restart button.

What happens when I restart?

The current attempt will be cancelled and a new verification will be started with the same details.

The user will get a new email if you have this setting turned on.

You will still be able to access the previous attempt from the timeline in the bottom left of the results screen.

When should I restart a verification?

If you do not suspect fraud, and want to give the user more attempts to get verified successfully, you can restart.

For example, the user wishes to use other identity evidence or an alternative verification method, so they may be verified under a different name after getting married or divorced.

You should not restart a verification if you suspect fraud. Cancel them instead. Contact [email protected] or start a support chat if unsure.

Which verifications can I restart?

You can restart any in progress or stalled verification. If the Restart button is greyed out, you will need to start a new verification instead.
