Vouchsafe's pricing is based on tokens.
Verifications, smart lookups and alerts on Vouchsafe use tokens.
How much does a token cost?
Your plan will include an allowance of tokens.
The starting price of a token outside your plan allowance is 99p, but you can reduce the cost by buying token bundles.
How many tokens does a verification use?
The more steps or checks you add to a verification flow, the more tokens it will cost.
For example, a proof of identity and address is two tokens, costing £1.98. Adding an enrichment would be 3 tokens, costing £2.97.
Example | Tokens | Starting price |
Verify identity | 1 | £0.99 |
A right to rent or work check | 2 | £1.98 |
Verify identity and address | 2 | £1.98 |
Verify identity and address, plus one enrichment | 3 | £2.97 |
Verify identity and address, plus two enrichments | 4 | £3.96 |
How do I know how many tokens I'm using?
If you're on our PAYG or Flex plans, you can see your token usage for the current billing period from the Usage and plan tab of the dashboard, as well as your included allowance where applicable:
If you start to approach your plan's token allowance, you will get an email alert.
Historical usage is recorded in your invoices, which you can review under Payment.
What are token bundles?
You can pre-buy 500 or more tokens at once for a discount, starting at 20%.
This is always more cost effective, as you will otherwise be charged the full per-token price of 99p for any excess usage.
Buy a token bundle from the Usage and plan tab of the dashboard, or contact us to discuss your needs and get a custom price:
How do I know ahead of time how many tokens a flow or smart lookup will use?
The token indicator at the top of the screen will update as you add and remove checks. It looks like this:
How will I be charged?
You will be charged your plan's normal monthly or annual rate for an included allowance of tokens.
Once you exceed this allowance, you can reduce spend with token bundles.
Am I charged for failed or abandoned verifications?
No. Tokens are only consumed when a verification is completed and is either automatically verified or sent to you for final review.
You will not be charged if your customer does not complete the process, or has to retry any part of it.
