How does Vouchsafe count checks?

Written by Jaye Hackett

Vouchsafe's Lite plan pricing is based on checks.

What is a check?

A single right to work, right to rent or DBS identity check.

How much does a check normally cost?

The Lite plan includes a yearly or monthly allowance of checks.

Once you've used up that allowance, extra checks based on one of our certified templates will cost £1.98.

That includes right to rent, work and DBS identity checks.

What about custom flows?

The more steps you add to a custom Verify flow, the more it will cost.

For example, a proof of identity and address is two steps, costing £1.98. Adding an enrichment would be 3 steps, costing £2.97.

Example

Steps

Starting price

Verify identity

1

£0.99

A certified right to rent or work check

2

2

3

How do I know how many checks I have used?

If you're on our Lite plan, you can see your usage for the current billing period from the Usage and plan tab of the dashboard, as well as your included allowance where applicable:

If you start to approach your plan's allowance, you will get an email alert.

Historical usage is recorded in your invoices, which you can review under Payment.

How do I know ahead of time how much a particular Verify flow will cost?

The indicator at the top of the screen will update as you add and remove steps. It looks like this:

How will I be charged?

You will be charged your plan's normal monthly or annual rate for an included allowance.

if you regularly exceed this allowance, contact us to discuss discounts or an upgrade to the Full plan.

Am I charged for failed or abandoned checks?

No. The charge is incurred when a check is completed and is either automatically verified or sent to you for final review.

You will not be charged if your customer does not complete the process, or has to retry any part of it.
