Passports | ~6 billion holders across ~190 countries | Vouchsafe supports all biometric and machine-readable passports, which is every passport issued around the world since 2010, and the vast majority of all those in circulation. |
National ID cards | ~3 billion holders across ~100 countries | Vouchsafe supports national ID cards with a machine-readable zone, which are currently issued by around 100 countries.
Vouchsafe does not currently support national ID cards with a PDF417 barcode only (example). |
UK driving licences | 40 million holders | Vouchsafe accepts both full and provisional UK driving licences. |
CitizenCards | 2.5 million holders | CitizenCard is the UK’s most widely recognised proof of age card, often used by young people to buy age-restricted products.
Vouchsafe automatically checks the details on every CitizenCard with the issuer. |
Young Scot cards | 700,000 holders | Young Scot National Entitlement Cards are free of charge to every 11 to 26 year old living in Scotland. The scheme is supported by a consortium of local authorities. |
