How to upload supporting documents

You may be asked to provide specific documentation in order to support your address verification

Written by Liv Kohlen

Why do you need these documents?

We ask for these documents in order to:

  • Match your full name to other ID documents you submit

  • Confirm your current residential address

💡 Your full name and address must be visible on the document. If your document doesn't contain either of these, or it doesn't match what you provided in your application you will need to upload a different document or contact the organisation you are verifying yourself with.

What document formats can I upload?

Paperless/digital bills

  • PDF files (.pdf)

These can be downloaded from your email, or the provider’s app/portal

✅ Screenshots

  • Image files (.png)

⚠️ Screenshots are not always accepted so you may be told to try again with another format.

These can be captured from your email, or the provider’s app/portal. Please ensure:

  • The image is not cropped

  • All four corners are visible

  • All the text is clear and easy to read

✅ Photos of physical documents

  • Image files (.jpg, .jpeg, .png)

Upload a clear photo of the first page making sure:

  • Documents are not folded

  • All four corners are visible

  • Avoid glare, shadows, or dim lighting

❌ Photos of documents on a computer/mobile displays

Photos must only be taken of physical paper documents.

If you have a paperless bill, this must be uploaded as a PDF or a screenshot.

Example:

I don't have any of the documents on the list - can I upload something else?

The organisation you are verifying your identity for decides what documents you will be able to upload based on their specific compliance requirements. If you have another document type that isn't on the list you won't be able to upload this.
